The Best New Steakhouse in Queens!

Happy Friday! I am finally back at work and it feels nice to know I have another 2 days to rest after today. I was up all night coughing again but I did not want to use up another sick day, especially since I get out 2 hours early on Fridays. I feel okay other than the coughing. I am just extremely tired and out of it...probably from the antibiotics, Robitussin, Melatonin and glass of wine last night! All of that and I still woke up 10 times. Fun fun!

Even though I was sick, I had a pretty good day off! Sick days are fun when you have no fever. I woke up and had some cereal.

It was Missy's Mix MyWayCereal. I stole some of the boy's Cocoa Puffs too :)

I also had a Vitamin Water on the side. I am hooked on those things!

I went to Lot Less after breakfast and got a nice new shelf for my room. They have some nice furniture there for cheap! The boy and I finally finished unpacking everything. Took us long enough!

We decided to go out for a nice dinner since I was cooped up inside most of the day. It felt nice to get all dressed up after being in pajamas for so long!

We went to a new steakhouse in Forest Hills called (Aged.) It opened about a month ago and is packed every single time we walk by it so we've been dying to try it. It had a very nice cozy atmosphere. The entire front of the restaurant was open with outdoor seating.

I made him take another picture to show the inside of the restaurant so he pretended to be taking one of me!

I started off with a delicious glass of Riesling.

I also had half of a roll with some butter because it was staring me in the face. It was warm and perfect.

We decided to split an appetizer to start. We got the Alaskan King Crab Legs: chilled and served with cocktail and mignonette sauce on crushed ice with lemon.

The crab was amazing! The legs were packed with crab meat. The mignonette sauce was great too! It tasted a little bit like bruschetta. Now we are dying to go out for crabs! Anyone know of a good place in NY that is not too expensive??
I decided to get 2 more appetizers for my main course. Everything looked so good so I wanted to try 2 things instead of 1!
I got a Spinach Salad: baby spinach with apples, raspberries, candied walnuts, goat cheese in raspberry vinaigrette.
Yes, it was the perfect salad. Anything with goat cheese makes me happy!
I also got Crispy Tuna: wrapped in nori, coated with bread crumbs, served medium rare with 3 dipping sauces (wasabi, hoisen, miso).

This was seriously one of the best rolls I've ever had. The fish tasted so fresh and the dipping sauces were delicious when mixed together. Here is a close up!

I would come back anytime just for this roll!
The boy got the New York Strip Steak with garlic mashed potatoes.

He took one bite and his eyes widened in excitement. He said it was one of the best steaks he's ever eaten. I tried a bite and he was right. It was so juicy and had a delicious flavor. I kept stealing more and more pieces from him because it was so good!

I would definitely recommend (Aged.) to anyone in Forest Hills. The prices are slightly steep but it is well worth it!

We came home and had some Sugar Free White Chocolate pudding with chocolate chips and whipped cream!

Pretty good sick day I must say! Hope everyone has a nice weekend!

I remember being so sore after bronchitis and the chiropractor told me that coughing can do that to you. Feel better!

wow...your meals look AMAZING!!! Too bad I don't live anywhere near there :( lol. That white chocolate pudding sounds great. Is it store bought or homemade?

Jocelyn: It was store bought. It is the kind you add milk to and refrigerate for 5 minutes.
